On September 26th, MYRANDAS make a striking return with 'La Habitación,' a song that thrives on raw, unfiltered desire. With an immersive fusion of Caribbean rhythms and sensual melodies, the new single pulls listeners into a world of temptation and attraction, where time stands still and only the present moment matters.
Originally founded in Havana and now based in Los Angeles, MYRANDAS are making their mark on the Latin music scene with their fresh sound, earning support from outlets like LA Times, Remezcla, and Hola! USA. After captivating audiences with their debut Spanish EP Nos Dejamos Llevar, trilingual vocalist and songwriter Kristina Miranda, along with multi-instrumentalist and Grammy-winning engineer Marciel Miranda, are now unveil their new single, 'La Habitación.' The song brings reggaeton energy, complemented by sophisticated production that highlights their distinct sonic identity. The track blends Latin pop and urbano with a Caribbean flair, weaving in requinto Dominicano and electronic textures — each element drawing you in deeper with every beat. MYRANDAS will celebrate the release of their new single with a headline performance for Hispanic Heritage Night on September 25th at the Hotel Cafe (Main Stage), curated by LA Playground. Participation in high-profile events such as the Latin Alternative Music Conference (LAMC), the largest indie music festival in the U.S. Nextfest LA, the NAMM Show, Sofar Sounds, and the Unidos en la Música festival, where MYRANDAS opened for Fonseca, highlights the band's growing influence. Their music has been featured on Southern California's Latin radio stations, including SoCal Sound 88.5 and KTNQ1020, and has made its way onto Cuban TV.
'La Habitación' brings undeniable chemistry, with Kristina's and Marciel’s voices breathing life into the song's story, making it even more captivating and emotionally charged. Speaking about the track, the couple shared, “We wanted to create a sensual song that captures the connection between two people, with lyrics that convey a sense of freedom - no rules, no holding back.”
In support of the single, MYRANDAS created a vibrant visualizer, filmed at the 11 Dimensions Gallery, which features Todd Moyer's works. While scouting for a new location, Kristina and Marciel stumbled upon the event in DTLA. The unique space, where art and technology intersect, with its welcoming atmosphere inspired them to seize the moment, filming the visualizer spontaneously on the spot.
